These records form an index to the Register of Testaments for Aberdeen Commissary Court from 1715-1734. They contain the following information:

  • Date of registration of testament (usually soon after death, but sometimes significantly later)
  • Designation (a description of the deceased, usually consisting of occupation and/or residence, and sometimes a relation, especially for women)
